The Plutoos PL11799 is a Lightning gaming adapter for iPhones: use wired Lightning headphones, charge the iPhone simultaneously, and hold the device securely in landscape with the rotating ring grip. Engineered for mobile gaming — the L-shape body routes the cables sideways so they do not block your thumb or palm when you play in landscape orientation.
The adapter splits the single Lightning port of the iPhone into two Lightning sockets: one exclusively for Lightning headphones (audio + microphone + volume buttons of the original Apple Lightning earphones are supported), the other exclusively for charging (no data passthrough). Play, stream or take calls while the battery fills at the same time — no more "battery or audio?" dilemma during long gaming sessions.
On the back sits a 360° rotating ring holder: open as a secure finger ring against drops, open-flat as a kickstand for videos, and because the ring is metal it sticks to magnetic car-vent mounts. 1. What is the difference between PL11799 and PL11793?
Both are Lightning splitters for iPhones, but with different audio outputs: The PL11799 (this product) has a Lightning audio socket for Apple Lightning earphones and an L-shape specifically for landscape mobile gaming. The PL11793 has a 3.5 mm jack for classic headphones. Choose the PL11799 if you own Lightning EarPods or want sideways cable routing while gaming; choose the PL11793 if you plug in 3.5 mm stereo headphones.
2. Do audio and charging really work at the same time?
Yes. The adapter contains two ICs (audio and charging) that work in parallel. You hear game sound or music through the Lightning audio output while current flows into the iPhone through the second Lightning port. That is exactly what the adapter was designed for — no more battery worries during long gaming sessions.
3. Which headphones can I plug in?
Lightning headphones following the Apple MFi standard — ideally the original Apple EarPods with Lightning connector. Volume buttons and microphone of those headphones are fully supported. Bluetooth headphones and 3.5 mm headphones cannot be connected — for 3.5 mm choose our PL11793 instead.
4. Can I transfer data at the same time (e.g. CarPlay)?
No. The charging output of this adapter supports charging only, no data transfer. If you need wired CarPlay or iTunes sync, plug the Lightning cable directly into the iPhone.
5. Does the adapter work with iPhone 15 / 16?
No. The adapter has a Lightning plug. iPhone 15 (standard, Plus, Pro, Pro Max) and iPhone 16 use USB-C and are not compatible. The adapter fits iPhone 7 through iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone SE 2nd/3rd generation.
