How to insert the batteries

1. Press the release buttons on both sides of the battery-compartment cap — the cap pops out
2. Insert 4 × AA batteries according to polarity markings (+ / −)
3. Push the cap back on until it clicks audibly
4. Important: the sealing ring can shift during a battery change — make sure it sits properly back in place, otherwise contact may be interrupted
