Battery care
Getting the longest life from the battery
Charge the battery fully before first use — it conditions itself over the first 2–3 charge cycles. Avoid leaving it at 0% for weeks; for longer storage, store it around half charged in a cool, dry place. Keep the contacts clean and dry.
Normal behaviour after the swap
The first 2–3 charge cycles can show slightly shorter runtime while the cells settle — this is normal for lithium-ion batteries and evens out by itself. Topping up between runs is harmless: lithium-ion cells have no memory effect.
Disposing of the old battery correctly
Lithium batteries never belong in household waste. In Switzerland you can return the old battery free of charge at any sales point or communal collection site (battery return is prepaid by law).
